FTC "Red Flags" Rule Enforcement Suspended 90 Days
To help fight the problem of identity theft, the FTC has issued regulations requiring businesses that deal with credit to their customers to take steps to guard against identity theft. The FTC has recently determined that this rule extends to healthcare providers and was to be effective May 1, 2009. This Rule enforcement has now been suspended for another 90 days.

You can click on the link below to take you to the ADA's website for an excellent article on the subject. A link there will take you to the official web site where you can sign up. You must have this number by May 23, 2007 but everyone was given a one year extension to the deadline.
