 In 2017 we will continue with the following format:

· The 5K run will be a “Fun Run” – no chips, no official times –there will be split clocks and a big clock and finish line structure at the finish line so you can note your own time
· No age group prizes – just top 5 male and female overall
· Lower entry fees
And as always:
· Great holiday family-friendly event
· Same great 5K course
· Same Kids’ Fun Run and 1.5mile Walk
· Same great way to put smiles on the faces of needy kids

Smiles Change Lives is a nonprofit organization that has been providing life changing, essential orthodontic treatment for children from low income families for over a decade. Dr. Frank R. Egan, local orthodontist and runner, launched the Smiles Change Lives program on Long Island in 2008.

Race Information: The race course was designed by runners for runners. The race has been sanctioned by the USATF. The USATF certified course starts and finishes at Corey Beach Park. Results for the 5K race will be posted on

 Race starts and finishes at Corey Beach Park on the Great South Bay and winds through the beautiful town of Blue Point. Registration limited to 1000 runners. Tech shirts guaranteed to all preregistered 5K & Walk participants on race day!

Kid’s Fun Run          8:45 am: for children 10 years old and under, south end of Corey Avenue, turkey headbands for all participants

5K Run 9:00 am:  5K (3.1 miles) - flat and fast,  race starts on Middle Road at Barteau Av

1.5 Mile Walk 9:00 am:  1.5 mile noncompetitive walk, walkers line up behind runners


Awards:  Prizes to the first five 5K finishers M/F overall. No age group prizes.

Registration Information:

Early Registration before November 1, 2016:  5K & Walk $20,   Kids’ Fun Run $10 

Registration November 1- 22, 2016:  5K & Walk $25,   Kids’ Fun Run $15

· In-person (by October 31, 2016 for Early Registration) at Sayville Running Company in Sayville or Egan Orthodontics in E. Patchogue

 Number/Shirt Pick Up: Early Pick Up- Wednesday November 22, 2-6 pm at Sayville Running Company

    Race Day Pick Up- Thursday, November 23, 7:30-8:30am
